Entrepreneurs Launch Pad

We are delighted to introduce the brilliant entrepreneurs who will be competing on Friday 11 October at YES! On the Road,  Nairobi, in two challenges hosted by Global Energy Alliance for People and Planet (GEAPP).  Nominated by Kenyatta University and Kenya Climate Innovation Centre, eleven entrepreneurs will compete across two different competitions – each one face-to-face with expert judging panels.  The winner in each competition will walk away with $5,500 funding for their project.  Good luck to all our brilliant entrepreneurs!

Data & Digitization: The lack of reliable data and tools/systems is a significant barrier to data-driven decision-making, action, and creating platforms that aggregate and optimize capital. Addressing this could profoundly impact the energy and climate change sectors. Five shortlisted entrepreneurs will come face-to-face with an expert judging panel. The winner will walk away with $5,500 funding for their project.

Fit-for-Purpose Electrical Appliances: Creating appliances specifically designed to meet the needs of emerging energy users can add immense value, generating jobs and promoting sustainable solutions across the continent. A solution creating, prototyping, or improving productive use appliances.

Six shortlisted entrepreneurs will come face to face with an expert judging panel. The winner will walk away with $5,500 funding for their project.
