Job description:

Purpose

The Graduate will undergo a structured development program aimed at equipping them with the necessary skills, knowledge, and experience to excel in their chosen field. This role provides hands-on training, mentorship and exposure to various aspects of the business operations at FQM Kansanshi Mining Plc (KMP).

Key Responsibilities

Participate in structured on-the-job training programs across different departments

Support departmental projects, operations and daily activities

Conduct research, data analysis and reporting to aid decision-making

Collaborate with senior staff and cross-functional teams to optimize operational efficiency

Ensure compliance with safety, environmental and company policies in all assigned tasks

Engage in continuous learning and skill development through mentorship and training sessions

Contribute innovative ideas and solutions to improve business processes

Execute additional tasks as assigned by the Supervisor, ensuring alignment with the development program’s objectives and operational priorities

Qualifications

Must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in any of the following relevant fields with Merit or better;

Mining Engineering

Metallurgical Engineering/Metallurgy

Chemical Engineering

Civil Engineering

Control Systems Engineering

Electrical Engineering

Electrical/Instrumentation Engineering

Mechanical Engineering

Geology/Rock Engineering

Geomatics Engineering

Information Technology/Computer Science/Information Systems/Data Science/Artificial Intelligence

Finance and Accounting

Experience

No prior experience required, but any internships or practical experience in mining operations will be advantageous

Ability to multi-task & work well under pressure and in a team environment

Good verbal and written communications skills

Computer literate in Microsoft office suit

Ability to work effectively in a diverse, cross-cultural environment, fostering inclusive and respectful collaboration

Capability to work effectively in a mining environment and diverse weather conditions, with physical agility to access various areas of mining operations as needed
